How do I get there?
Google us! We are on google maps: Big Thorn Farm & Brewery. Please take the gravel drive slowly, and pull to the side for oncoming cars.
Directions from Interstate 74:
South on Route 1/Georgetown Road
Right/West on West Street in Georgetown
Left/South on 1450 East
Right/West on 600 North
Left/South after 3 black mailboxes and Big Thorn Farm Sign
Follow the signs from there!
Is there an indoor area?
The whole venue is an OUTDOOR experience. We have a large, outdoor pavilion and numerous smaller pavilion areas. In the Winter months, The Greenhouse Bar is heated with wood stoves and propane heaters. Dress in layers!
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, as long as the dog is well-behaved and remains on a leash at all times.
Can I bring my own alcoholic beverages?
We cannot allow outside alcohol of any kind. Our bartenders are very knowledgeable and can assist everyone in finding a beverage to their liking!
Are you family-friendly?
Absolutely! We have a big sandbox for kids. Kids love Big Thorn! We also serve kid-friendly food from The Truck and have non-alcoholic options for kids.
Do you serve food?
We serve food during all open hours from our food truck, The Truck. Menus are available on our home page.
Do you take credit cards?
We accept all major credit cards as well as cash. No checks please.
What type of restrooms do you have?
We have portable restrooms with an outdoor handwashing station.
Do you serve beverages other than beer?
We serve hard cider, sodas, kombucha, sparkling water, non-alcoholic beer, and bottled water in addition to our draft beer.
Do you sell beer to-go?
Yes! We sell two sizes of growlers for draft beer to-go: 750 mL or 64 ounce.
Where can I stay?
Forest Glen Preserve is only 8 miles from the farm and they offer overnight campsites at very reasonable rates. Kickapoo and Kenekkuk parks are also within a half-hour drive. You can also check out this awesome AirBnB just down the road: Georgetown Farm Escape
